Hello Everyone, The 2011 season has officially kicked off with the first two rounds of the AMA flat track series in the books. First and Foremost i want to thank all my great sponsors for making yet another year of racing possible for me. Daytona is always a big race every year and it is key in my mind to start the year off strong. The first of the two days at daytona started off with qualifying. It didnt go as planned because i fell in two out of the three sessions we had,  limiting my time to put in decent laps. I qualified 20th overall, which wasnt necesarrily where i wanted to be but i knew we would move forward from there. In my heat race i was battling for the transfer spot when disaster struck. Going into turn one with about 4 laps to go my bike stalled. Luckily i did some damage control by bump starting it but not before losing 4 posistions in the process. This would put me from having a shot at a direct transfer to the main to sitting back row in a semi. In my semi i worked my way through the pack but running out of laps at the end i fell about a half wheel short of qualifying for the main event. I was very dissapointed knowing i was fast enough to be in the main but yet not being in it didntsit well with me .It would not be long before i would be able to prove that. The second day at Daytona started much better as i qualified 6th and put myself in a good spot for a front row in my heat race. I ran 4th most of the race and made a last lap pass for third and had a direct transfer to the main event. I started on row 2 in the main, but didnt get the best start. I was somewhere around 15th after the first lap. I made passes throughout the main event and found myself finishing 8th holding off  Henry Wiles the last 4 laps. This was great for me to come back after it seemed like the first day everything went wrong. We are 11th overall in the series points and i am determined to keep moving forward. I am very excited for the next national which takes place in duquoin, illinois april 16th. I raced the track we will race for the national this past weekend and had some success. I took second in the open pro class behing jared mees and just in front of henry wiles. I think we definately have a good shot at being on the box at duqoin and that is what we are shooting for. Until then i will be racing the san jose indoor this weekend which should be a blast. I am looking forward to the rest of the season and i am more determined than ever with a great team behind me in Waters Autobody/ M.E.H. Corp. racing.
